Field Codes

 A field is a specific part of a record in a database. Using a Field option can help you narrow down your research.

The most Common fields are: author, title, subject, and abstract.

Title: Limit your search term to the title of a resource. 

Author: Limit your search to author name. 

Subject: Narrow your search term to a subject category. 

Abstract: Limit your search terms to the abstract of a specific resource.
